To love one another and care for each other is one of God’s greatest commands 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.”
He first loved us and we ought to love others 1st John 4:19 “We love because he first loved us.
Therefore, giving is an expression of God’s goodness and love. You are motivated by your feelings and affection for that individual when you think of them on their special day or at any other time and something makes you want to give them a gift of love. You can express or demonstrate your feelings, thoughts, and appreciation for them simply by giving them a present. It doesn’t have to be motivated because it’s just their special day and you give them a gift because you don’t want to be awful about it, or because you feel pressured to; that’s not love. Gifting someone a gift should come deeply from your heart.
